During this phase, we meet with you and your client at their home and carefully listen as they share their ideas and vision for their remodeling project. The target investment for their project is discussed and, if their budget is feasible, we enter into a concept design agreement and schedule our next meeting.
At the first design presentation, MCDB presents 2D floor plans and 2D house views to convey the design concept(s). The plans, for example, can detail how the new spaces connect with the old spaces of the home:
Do the spaces function and flow properly?
Are there any revisions to be made?
Feedback (both positive and negative) is critical at this phase.
MCDB also factors in assumptions at this phase regarding site limitations and the existing house construction. 3D modeling is not typically a part of this 'concept' service but can be included if desired.
Next, a concept budget feasibility study is performed. Once the budget is set in a comfortable range, we proceed to development.
